6TH GRADE FARM FIELD DAY

FARM FIELD DAY 2018 WAS HELD OCTOBER 9th

Highland Dairy Farm - Glade Spring, VA

In an effort to provide a truly meaningful watershed experience, all Washington County 6th grade students and teachers spend the day at Highland Dairy Farm located in Glade Spring, VA.  Students visit a working dairy farm, observe conservation farming BMPs, search for macroinvertebrates in Hutton Creek, and much more!  All stations are led by local agency staff and volunteers.  Combined with watershed focused classroom visits, Farm Field Day provides a complete watershed experience for all 6th graders in Washington County.
